His early life was spent on a farm and in private schools; later he attended the Reynolds Collegeiate Institute, where he took a full classical and mathematical course. Apologies if this recording/vid has been posted before, I did a CWT search for Julias Franklin Howell but there were no results. Anyhow, I found this interesting and I thought that others may also appreciate this gentleman’s story. I do have one question though about his accent, I understand 1947 Interview with Corporal Julius Franklin "General" Howell (1846-1948) By P-59A, September 29 in VETERAN RECOLLECTIONS.
